Your Long Island Sound journey begins along a freshwater river and the shallow waters of the salt marsh, then moves into deeper and deeper habitats out to the open ocean. The Aquarium has the largest IMAX theater in Connecticut, with a screen as tall as a six-story building! Aquarium Admission includes one standard IMAX movie. Ali Jehangir SiddiquiPakistan Ambassador to the United States
Mr. Ali Jehangir Siddiqui is the current Pakistan Ambassador to the United States. He serves as the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner at JS Private Equity and JS Private Equity Fund I. He is also a Chairman at JS Bank Ltd. He started with his first start-up, Advance Micro Research (sold in 1995), where he integrated multiconsole network systems. He served as a Director with Crosby Capital Partners and was based in Hong Kong. Prior to Crosby, he was an Associate with Techpacific Capital where he was part of a team that managed private equity and venture funds investing in Asia-Pacific. He has been advising start-ups in the US, Europe and Asia for several years. Prior to JS Group, he served as a Director of Crosby, the investment and merchant bank. He served as a Director of Lucky Cement Ltd. since October 26, 2009. In addition, he is involved with a number of charitable and sustainable development organizations. He was honoured by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2014. Mr. Siddiqui received a B.A. in Economics (accelerated graduation) from Cornell University.
Hina ChaudhryAssociate Professor at Mount Sinai College
Hina Chaudhry, MD is currently Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Cardiovascular Regenerative Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Chaudhry was previously Florence Irving Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She is also Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of VentriNova, a biotech company aimed at clinical development of regenerative strategies she has developed and supported by Broadview Ventures. She holds multiple patents in the areas of cell cycle manipulation for heart repair and the use of placental stem cells for heart repair. She has been honored by many organizations for her work in cardiac regeneration: awarded the Sitara Imtiaz Medal by the Government of Pakistan, TEDMED Innovation Scholar, Clinician Scientist Award and Best Manuscript Awards of the American Heart Association (AHA), and is a Principal Scientist for the New York Stem Cell Board. She has been funded by the NIH, AHA, New York Stem Cell Board, and Broadview Ventures. She is also a staunch supporter of women in STEM, having spoken on this topic at both the White House (under the Obama Administration) and twice at the United Nations International Day of Women and Girls in Science. She lectures worldwide in her research field and has been an expert commentator for CNN. Dr. Chaudhry holds Bachelors’ degrees in Chemistry and Biology from MIT, and an MD with Honors from Harvard Medical School. She trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center and the University of Pennsylvania subsequently and later in Developmental Genetics at Columbia University.
Farrukh KhanCEO of Inference Analytics
Farrukh is founder and CEO of Inference Analytics, Inc. He has over 20 years of experience in product management, strategy and general management in the analytics space. He has held leadership roles in early stage startups to large fortune 500 enterprises. Most recently Farrukh was GM and VP of IBM’s Netezza ($1.6Bn IBM acquisition) and Big Data distribution sector team where Farrukh worked closely with Business and Information Technology leaders across the world to define solution strategy that transformed key business processes like customer interactions, supply chain and operations into assets that created deeper customer understanding, more efficient operations, greater competitive advantage and increasing ROI. He has held senior leadership roles in Product Management at key analytics and Business Intelligence companies including IRI, Informatica where he was one of the early product managers and at MicroStrategy where he was co-founder of Strategy.com. He has a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.
Imran ShahManaging Director at Accenture
Dr. Imran Shah is the Managing Director at Accenture Strategy, a company that excels in delivering strategy services for Communications, Media & Technology clients. Dr. Imran Shah holds a Ph.D. from Columbia in Multidimensional Signal Processing. As a Partner at PA Consulting Group he led their Cable and Media consulting practice eventually co-founding his own firm IBB Consulting Group. As a sought-after consultant and industry advisor, Imran has worked with the most senior management teams in a variety of leading broadband and media companies, including AT&T, Charter, Comcast, Cox, Microsoft, Telstra, Rogers and Liberty Global. Under his leadership, IBB Consulting Group was named as Consulting Magazine Best Small Firms to Work for 6 times since 2010. Imran has received numerous recognitions including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award and Top 25 Consultants award by Consulting Magazine. He recently led the successful acquisition of IBB Consulting by Accenture Strategy, where he now serves as an MD.
Jim AloiseAssistant VP and Director Strategic Initiatives
Jim Aloise, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Columbia Technology Ventures, has 15 years of industrial and academic experience in Technology Commercialization and Patent Licensing across many technologies, including clean energy, digital video compression and transmission, smart building systems, carbon capture, gene expression, automated music characterization, silicon crystallization, microelectronic packaging, digital imaging, as well as others. Jim is responsible for negotiating more than 50 licenses including more than 10 with startups. As Director of PowerBridgeNY, he leads the combined activities of 2 NYSERDA-funded Clean-Tech Proof of Concept Centers led by Columbia and NYU, which include partners from Brookhaven National Laboratory, Cornell Tech, City University of New York, and Stony Brook University and is tasked with creating NYS-based Clean Energy startups.

Before Columbia, Jim worked at General Electric’s Global Research Center in Niskayuna, NY. He held positions in Business Development, Patent and Technology Licensing, and Trademark Licensing. Before GE, he worked at Hughes Electronics in Product Management, Marketing, and Sales in products such as DirecTV, Fire Sensing and Suppression Systems and Infrared Imaging Systems.

Jim has a BS in Optics from University of Rochester, an MS in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University and an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.

Kewan KhawajaCo-CEO of Techlogix
Kewan Khawaja is the current President of OPEN Global and the Co-CEO of Techlogix – an IT services, consulting, and business solutions company that helps its clients achieve enterprise transformation by harmonizing people, business processes, and technology. While donning multiple hats, Kewan loves playing a motivational role to bring out the best in the company’s multifaceted workforce. Kewan’s consulting interests are focused around business process management, data and analytics, and alignment of enterprise IT initiatives with corporate strategy. Before founding Techlogix, Kewan worked at Boston-based IT consulting and services firm Cambridge Technology Partners. Kewan holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Khan SiddiquiCTO and CMO of higi
Khan Siddiqui is the CTO and CMO of higi. Dr. Siddiqui is responsible for strategic direction of the company and leads the development of higi’s products and technologies. higi – a consumer centric health engagement company, uses a combination of interactive and social tools to help consumers to take small but meaningful engagement steps in their health and wellness to create lasting habits. Higi has built the largest self-service health kiosk network in the US.

Prior to higi, he was a Physician Executive and Principal Program Manager at Microsoft responsible for platform engineering for the health solutions group. He was responsible for engineering execution on various enterprise and cloud health products as well as personal health record for consumers. One of his key achievements at Microsoft was stimulating computer vision research that led to the development of classification forest algorithm, which is the foundation technology in Xbox Kinect. Dr. Siddiqui is on the board of directors of various startups in the US as well as a technology advisor for multiple national healthcare organizations.

Dr. Siddiqui is also a visiting Associate Professor of Radiology at John Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at New York University followed by diagnostic radiology residency and body imaging fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA as well as imaging informatics fellowship at University of Maryland.

Neville TeagardenManaging Partner at AI Capital
Neville Teagarden is currently a managing partner with AI Capital, a venture firm focused on applied business-to-business artificial intelligence (AI) growth stage companies. He is former CIO/CTO of three global Fortune 500 class companies, two of which grew from less than $1B to greater than $6B. Also, a co-founder and former President/COO of a leading AI company. While consulting with companies across multiple industries, he gained experience with two generations of AI technology including: Deep/Machine Learning, Semantics, Constraint-propagation, Robotics, Analytics and Natural Language. Mr. Teagarden was educated at MIT where he was also a researcher in the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab. His business experience includes corporate venture, M&A, harvests, diligence and integration.
Omair SirajCEO of Chestnut Health Co.
Omair is the Founder & CEO of Chestnut Health Company, Inc. – a newly established platform catering to the major regulatory shift in the healthcare industry under Obama Care (ACA 2011). It comprises of a complete network of health care service companies and service lines that primarily focus on providing patient centric care that promotes the recent regulatory demands on providers i.e. to participate in risk based programs to achieve higher levels of population health at a lower cost, across the complete continuum of care. This includes establishing comprehensive care management programs for patients at acute care facilities, sub/post-acute and long term facilities, as well as at home setting. The service lines include the practice of hospital medicine, Rehab medicine/SNFist practice, community based office medicine, home visiting medicine and home health care.

In October 2015, Omair completed the exit of his initial startup, Hospital Medicine Consultants, LLC, which was successfully acquired by IPC Healthcare (NYSE: TMH).

Prior to entering the healthcare industry, Omair was serving as the Director of Global Resource Mobilization at NCHD – an international consortium between United Nations and the Government of Pakistan to achieve the UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) 2000. Based in Islamabad (2003 – 2007). Omair helped build global partnerships between Pakistan and the international donor community as well as corporate and individual donors based in the US, UK, Canada, Japan and UAE. These efforts raised over $30M during his time over there. The prime function of this initiative was to advance Universal Primary Education (UPE) and Health for All programs for women and children at the grassroots level in Pakistan. One of the breakthroughs of this initiative was winning the first grant for women’s health education in Pakistan directly from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in the amount of $5 Million.

Raghib HussainEVP and Chief Strategy Officer of Marvell Semiconductor
Raghib Hussain is Marvell’s Executive Vice President for the Networking and Processors Group. He also serves as the company’s Chief Strategy Officer.

Prior to joining Marvell in 2018, Raghib served as the Chief Operating Officer of Cavium, a company he co-founded. Prior to launching Cavium, Raghib held engineering roles at both Cisco and Cadence, and helped found VPNet, an enterprise security company. Raghib earned a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from NED University in Karachi, Pakistan, and an MS in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University. He holds 30 patents in the fields of networking and security.

Riaz SiddiqiManaging Partner at Denham Capital
Riaz Siddiqi is a Founder and Managing Partner at Denham and brings more than 38 years of experience to the firm in the energy and asset management fields. He is a member of the Fund Investment Committee and Valuation Committee.

Prior to joining Denham, Riaz was President and CEO of Capstone Global Energy, and previously held executive roles, including Managing Director at Cinergy Capital and Trading and other Cinergy companies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Greene’s Energy and Endeavor Energy. Riaz is a volunteer pilot for Angelflight, Pilots for Patients and Veterans Airlift Command and is a recipient of the Asia Society Houston Center’s award for leadership in business and philanthropy. He is involved in several public service causes and serves on the boards of the American Pakistan Foundation and the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Pakistan University of Energy & Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Graduate School of Business at Mississippi State University.

Zeeshan SyedCEO of Health(at)Scale
Zeeshan is the CEO of HEALTH[at]SCALE, a Clinical Associate Professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and the Director of Clinical Inference and Algorithms at Stanford Health Care. Prior to HEALTH[at]SCALE, Zeeshan was part of the early-stage team that launched the Google[X] Life Sciences initiative (now Verily) and was Associate Professor with Tenure in Computer Science at the University of Michigan (where he was a Principal Investigator for the Artificial Intelligence Lab). Zeeshan is a recipient of multiple awards in the machine learning for healthcare space (including an NSF CAREER award) and holds a PhD from MIT EECS and Harvard Medical School in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering, and MEng and SB degrees in EECS from MIT. ​

Hassan AhmedChairman and CEO of Affirmed Networks
Hassan Ahmed is the Chairman and CEO of Affirmed Networks, the leader in virtualized mobile networks. Prior to starting Affirmed Networks, Hassan worked as a Senior Advisor at Charles River Ventures. Safwan ShahFounder and CEO of PayActiv
Safwan Shah is the Founder and CEO of PayActiv, a company that has built an award winning financial wellness platform that provides employees access to earned but unpaid wages. An engineer by training, payments expert by experience and entrepreneur by accident, Safwan’s last job was at TSYS after the acquisition of Infonox, a payments company he founded and bootstrapped. His previous stints include being a rocket scientist at a NASA Center where a number of his experiments were part of the space program. Besides science and entrepreneurship, Safwan has also taught at Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and Baskin School of Engineering at UC Santa Cruz. Amir KhanCo-founder & President of Viptela
Amir Khan is the Founder and CEO of Viptela, a company that strives to connect its users to applications simply, reliably, and securely. It has been announced that Cisco will be acquiring cloud-based SD-WAN vendor Viptela for $610 million in cash and as a result, the Viptela team will join Cisco’s Enterprise Routing team within the Networking and Security Business.  Amir Khan is a 20+ year veteran of the networking industry with a strong track record of driving multi-billion dollar product lines in both enterprise and service provider segments. Prior to Viptela, Amir led the enterprise routing business & product management for MX and M series routers at Juniper. Before Juniper he served as Director of Product Management at Cisco, leading the critical components of IOS like MPLS, routing, QoS and multicast technologies for switching and routing products. Dr. Sherwani is the President and CEO of PeerNova, the first immutable ledger with built-in audit, scale, and other capabilities necessary to help the world’s most trusted organizations store, secure, and validate data while maintaining the enterprise-class controls they require. Dr. Sherwani brings over 25 years of experience in entrepreneurship, technical engineering and general management. Dr. Sherwani has founded and co-founded nine companies in systems, software, and services. Prior to Peernova, Dr. Sherwani co-founded Open-Silicon, a leading provider of ASIC and system solutions. As the founder and General Manager of Intel Microelectronics Services, he pioneered Open methodology for EDA. He also founded Brite Semi, a leading solution provider in China/APAC. Dr. Sherwani is a noted author having written several books and over 100 articles on various aspects of algorithms, parallel computing, and EDA. Dr. Sherwani served as a Professor at Western Michigan University, where his research focused on algorithms, EDA, Combinatorics, and parallel computing. He received his Ph.D from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Kewan Khawaja is the current President of OPEN Global and the Co-CEO of Techlogix – an IT services, consulting, and business solutions company that helps its clients achieve enterprise transformation by harmonizing people, business processes, and technology. While donning multiple hats, Kewan loves playing a motivational role to bring out the best in the company’s multifaceted workforce. Kewan’s consulting interests are focused around business process management, data and analytics, and alignment of enterprise IT initiatives with corporate strategy. Before founding Techlogix, Kewan worked at Boston-based IT consulting and services firm Cambridge Technology Partners. Kewan holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
